The Texas rap vet took to Twitter on Friday (Jan. 31), claiming that Boosie's release will be... February 13th. "Boosie Bad Ass gets home on February 13. Confirmed. Get ready," Bun wrote.
The Louisiana rapper has been incarcerated since 2009. He was initially locked up on probation violation and a marijuana possession charge, but was later hit with an extended sentence after pleading guilty to attempting to smuggle in narcotics. In 2012, he was found not guilty of the murder of Terry Boyd, a 35-year-old man who was shot to death outside of his home in 2009, which could've carried the death penalty.
While Boosie's rap career slowed while behind bars, he remained productive. Most notably for earning his GED.
