Warner Brothers Planning 'Justice League' Movie? :::: In the Movies

Justice League
With the global success of Disney and Marvel's The Avengers since being released in early May, the doors are wide open for other superhero all-star movies ... and another studio is already planning one.
According to Variety.com, Warner Brothers has plans to create a film for the Justice League, a stable of DC Comics superheroes, which includes the likes of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and several others.

Gangster Squad scribe Will Beall has been tapped to write the screenplay, but that's really the only details known about the possible film. The script has yet to be turned in.
This isn't the first time the studio tried to put together a Justice League film. It's actually been in the works for several years. Director George Miller (Mad Max, Happy Feet) was hired for the film in the fall of 2007, with production scheduled to begin the next year for a planned 2009 release. It was set to star Adam Brody as the Flash, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman and then-newcomer Armie Hammer as Batman. But, back in January 2008, Warner Bros. pulled the plug on the project due to a Writer's Guild strike.
Before that, the studio developed a "Batman Vs. Superman" film, which would have pitted the two heroes against each other (though in the end they would team up to take on Lex Luthor). Josh Hartnett was rumored for Superman, with Colin Farrell considered for Batman. But that was eventually shelved in favor of Christopher Nolan's "Batman Begins."
While further details about Justice League are unknown, it's likely summer 2014 is the earliest fans should expect a release.
Stay tuned...
