Rihanna has scrapped plans to live in London for the summer – as well as all her commitments there – due to what her management has cited as “sickness.” The news has sparked new controversy about the state of the 24-year-old singer’s health.
Rihanna was due to fly into London yesterday to film a show for the Sky Living channel, and had plans to remain in the city for the next 10-weeks, reports The Sun. But those plans have now been canceled, a source tells the British newspaper.

“She cancelled her trip and all work commitments in the UK at the very last minute, which is very unlike her,” said the source. “She has been hitting it hard for months. She smokes, drinks and parties hard on top of work commitments.”
The singer originally planned to stay a few streets away from Jay-Z while playing Radio 1’s Hackney Weekend festival as well as performing a headlining spot at the Wireless Festival in the city.
Her health concerns came to the forefront last month as she tweeted a picture of herself with an IV in her arm, as well as news that she didn’t appear at rehearsals for her appearance on “Saturday Night Live” because she was ill.
