Azealia Banks Deletes Twitter Account, Says She's Leaving The 'Rap Game'

Azealia Banks
Azealia Banks burst onto the scene over the past year, mostly because of her music, but she has remained in the headlines because of her rants on Twitter.
She's used the social media outlet to call out people in the past, including rival Iggy Azalea and T.I., as well as Lil Kim over a failed collabo, among other things. But, that shouldn't happen any longer because the Harlem newcomer has deleted her Twitter account.
Frustrated with the controversy, Banks deactivated her account Friday evening (June 9), revealing why via her Tumblr profile.

"no longer wishing to be a rapper. i never was... and as soon as i started paying attention to bullsh** urban media, i started getting myself in trouble," Banks wrote. "From now on i'm a vocalist, and will not be associating myself with the 'rap game' ... or whatever the f*** that means ... no more twitter for me... it makes me entirely too accessible. Catch me on tumblr... it'll be more interesting."
According to Prefix Mag, Banks took shots at her management team just before deleting her Twitter account, calling a "short bald man" out for planting fake stories while saying their relationship is over.
"I know who you are yes...You short bald man...I know you planted these false stories," she wrote on her now defunct Twitter page.
"Guess what?: I'm still not going to let you manage me again. I've dealt with enough cyber bullying to see right thru this. I will definitely be working BY MYSELF and saving MY 20% On management commissions while I avoid you sharks in the water..."
Banks goes on to say she wishes to enlist a female manager, saying "women are just so much smarter."
