Fred Durst Opens Up About Limp Bizkit’s New Cash Money Home :::: Music News

It came as quite the shock when, back in February, it was announced that rap-rockers Limp Bizkit would be signing to Young Money Records. But in a recent interview with MTV, the band’s frontman, Fred Durst, spoke about how good of a fit the record label is the for the band.
“They fell that the spirit and that power, and they wanted to give us an opportunity to be ourselves and take it to the next level,” he said. “That’s what YMCMB is about.”
He went on to talk about how much he loves the current artists at the label.

“I love their music, and I’ve been a fan,” he continued. “To be a part of the family, it just feels like the only place that’s a perfect fit for Limp Bizkit and myself. It’s a polarizing statement, but at the same time, it’s a big deal.
The group has yet to release any material on the label, though an EP and album are expected to be coming later this year. Fred Durst spoke earlier this year about a single featuring the band and Lil Wayne called “Ready to Go.”
