Snoop Dogg Arrested For Marijuana Possession In Texas

Snoop Dogg was arrested in Texas over the weekend, and charged with misdemeanor drug possession after authorities found marijuana on his tour bus.The rapper's (real name: Calvin Cordozar Broadus) tour bus was stopped at a border patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas (a small town in West Texas where Willie Nelson was popped for weed back in 2010), where a drug-sniffing dog alerted agents to a possible hit in a waste basket in the back of the vehicle. Border patrol agents reportedly found a red prescription bottle with several joints inside, under a half-ounce. Despite having a prescription in California, Texas has a zero tolerance policy for weed. Snoop admitted that the marijuana belonged to him, so authorities issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession and he released. If convicted on the drug charge, Snoop could face up to 180 days in jail. Snoop hasn't commented on the arrest as of press time.
