Pill Clarifies Rumors about Being Dropped from Mayback Music

Pill
Atlanta-based rapper Pill dismissed the rumors spreading over the past weeks about his being dropped from Rick Ross’s Mayback Music. This is basically because he was never signed with the label to begin with.
During a talk with MTV News, Pill has the chance to shun the allegations saying that he is getting dropped from Rick Ross’s imprint. According to him, there was never paperwork and no deal was made between him and Mayback Music. He also reiterated that his commitment was strictly with Warner Bros. Records.
As he clarified not being signed with Mayback Music, he also explained that his deal with Warner Bros. Records is already over. “I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already,” he shared.
Moreover, he claimed being signed to Asylum/Warner during the end of 2009. He explained that he wasn’t aware if there were any deals or conversations between Mayback and Warner.
Furthermore, although he was involved in the compilation album developed by the group titled “Self Made Vol. 1,” he did not show in their key performances. As he said, “I never really went on tour with them; I never really did anything with them. The only time I performed on tour with them is when it stopped in Atlanta. They still showed love to a n—a when it was time to go to Vegas, or Cali, you know, whatever the label had put together for us to be on as a whole.”
As of late, Pill is trying to wriggle out his deal with Warner and says that he doesn’t have anything against MMG. “I ain’t got nothing against none of them, nobody. It’s just the situation don’t work.”
