Kanye West Announces Launch Of Design Company Called DONDA


Kanye West continues to branch out, expanding his resume outside of music. His most recent venture is a new design company called DONDA, named after his late mother. The new company is aimed at developing products and experiences that "marry our wants and needs." In a lengthy series of tweets (@KanyeWest), Kanye announced his newly launched DONDA company and explained a little about what it encompasses. "I have started a new company and I'm so excited about the name ... it's got the best name ever of all companies of all time!!!" he wrote. "The name of the company is DONDA." The start-up "is a design company which will galvanize amazing thinkers and put them in a creative space to bounce their dreams and ideas," Ye explained. "I am assembling a team of architects, graphic designers, directors musicians, producers, AnRs, writers, publicist, social media experts, app guys, managers, car designers, clothing designers, DJs, video game designers, publishers, tech guys, lawyers, bankers, nutritionist, doctors, scientist, teachers." Ye explains that the company will be laid out in 22 divisins "with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford." "We want to help simplify and aesthetically improve everything we see hear, touch, taste and feel. To dream of, create, advertise and produce products driven equally by emotional want and utilitarian need." Kanye even wants would-be "creatives" to reach out to him to joint he team. "If you've got what it takes to join the team, you can email contactDONDA@gmail.com," he wrote. "I want to put creatives in a room together with like minds that are all waaaay doper than me." Additionally, Kanye said that he intends to reshape the American school system, which he says was "designed to turn people into factory workers."
