Freddie Roach Says Pacquiao Will Decide On Mayweather Fight This Week

The past Days has been crazy in the boxing world, after Floyd Mayweather took to Twitter to call out Manny Pacquaio for a May 5th showdown, expected to be the highest earning in boxing history. While the undefeated boxing superstar has mentioned Pacquiao as a possible opponent on his previously announced May 5th fight, this week, he made it very clear that Pac-Man is the fight he wants. "Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see," he wrote (@FloydMayweather) on Tuesday afternoon (January 10). "My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk." While Pacquiao and/or his promoter Bob Arum have yet to comment, his longtime trainer Freddie Roach says they'll decide whether he'll fight Mayweather on May 5th in the next few days. Roach told the gossip website that Pac-Man and Arum are currently in the Philippines figuring out a way to clear the way for a super-fight with Mayweather. However, in regard to calling his fighter a "punk," Roach tells Mayweather to "look in the mirror," adding that Floyd has been "ducking us for two years." If both sides are to fight, the trainer says both sides have to agree on "even terms," financially. Stay tuned...
