Birdman Reveals Upcoming 'Like Father Like Son 2' Album With Lil Wayne

Birdman announced over the weekend that a new album has been added to the YMCMB release schedule this year -- a collaborative project with Lil Wayne, called Like Father Like Son 2. The forthcoming duet album will be the follow-up to their 2006 LP of the same title, which he first revealed back in early 2011 telling Billboard.com that it'd come in December, but didn't make the date. "We're looking to do that in December some time, after we all drop our solos albums and go on tour," Birdman told Billboard. "We have a lot of songs we did before (Wayne) went (to jail), and we've been working since he came home. All we've got to do is pick. And Wayne likes to be fresh with our music, so we might wait... and just knock out 20 songs right quick and put those on the album." On Saturday (January 14), Birdman hinted at the project on Twitter (@Birdman5Star). "LikeFather LikeSon 2 Tha Last MOB.YMCMB." 2006's Like Father, Like Son debuted at #3 in September 2006, fueled by its first single "Stuntin' Like My Daddy"; and has since gone on to sell nearly 1 million copies. Details about the sequel were unknown at press time.
