Mariah Carey has stripped off for the cover of the new issue of Life & Style Magazine (on newsstands Friday), revealing her massive baby bump just weeks before she’s due to deliver fraternal twins with husband Nick Cannon.
“I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn’t want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience. My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans,” the expectant mum gushed.
Mariah is one in a long line of famous celebrity bumps to get exposed on the cover of fashion mags. Actress Demi Moore famously posed nude for Vanity Fair in 1991. Britney Spears did it too. Christina Aguilera stripped off for Marie Claire’s Jan. 2008 issue, and ’90s supermodel Claudia Schiffer got naked for German Vogue just last year. Dad-to-be Nick, on the other hand, is already rethinking his decision to strip off. The couple posed together nude in a series of photos peppered throughout the mag, which they plan to put up on the walls of their home.
“My children are going to have to see these pictures. It’s a little weird. It’s a little nasty – I mean, have you ever seen your parents naked? When they get older and their friends come over, they will see the pictures and say, ‘Your daddy’s butt naked.’”
