R. Kelly Set To Drop 'Love Letter' Later This Month

R&B superstar R. Kelly's label, Jive Records, announced the upcoming release of his 11th studio album, Love Letter, in December, following his 2010 release Epic.
Already setting the stage for the album is "When a Woman Loves", the Kelly-produced lead single, which is currently gaining steam among urban radio. The second single, "Love Letter", is set to drop on November 22, with the holiday remix to the track, titled "Love Letter Christmas", coming soon.
Steeped in the soul personified by such mentor-heroes as Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye, "When a Woman Loves" set a record when it debuted at no. 24 on the Urban AC chart. It marked the highest chart bow by a male artist since Michael Jackson's "This Is It," which debuted at no. 16 last October. It also signaled Kelly's second-best career debut behind "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time", which landed at no. 19 back in 1999.
The official video for "When A Woman Loves" pays homage to soul music's enduring legacy, and is currently in rotation on both MTV Jams and VH1 Soul.

Further details about the album, including production and guest credits, were unknown at press time.
Love Letter is due out November 22.
