Prison Captain Suspended For Hanging With Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne is about a week away from walking out of Rikers Island a free man, but his incarceration hasn't been without controversy.

Most recently, a veteran prison captain was suspended after he reportedly paid the rapper an unauthorized 45-minute visit.

According to reports, Capt. Raphael Collazzo has been suspended without pay for 10 days after security cameras caught him fraternizing with Weezy, without authorization, for an extended period while the rapper is in "isolation lockup."

Patrick Ferraiuolo, president of the Correction Captains' Association, Inc., said Collazzo claimed he did nothing wrong, but the Corrections Department felt differently.

another corrections officer, Officer Amelia Negron, was let go previously after she was caught hanging by Lil Wayne's cell a bit too often.

While officials said her termination was unrelated to the rapper, Negron says otherwise. She said the department forced her into admitting that she was trying to get close to the Wayne.

Apparently, Capt. Latanya Brown was also questioned for hanging around Weezy's cell too much.
