Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Confirm Pregnancy

After months, and even years, of speculation, due to fluctuations in her weight and rumors, singer Mariah Carey recently confirmed that she is, indeed, pregnant.
During an appearance on the "Today" show on Thursday morning (October 28), Carey revealed to the world that her and husband Nick Cannon are expecting their first child.
"Well, we're here in New York; yes, we are pregnant," the 41-year-old singer said during a pre-taped interview segment with "Access Hollywood". "This is true."
According to Carey, the couple have struggled to conceive ... and while admitting it took quite some time to get to this point, she kept the details a secret.
"I'm actually dealing with this, and it's been a long journey but it's been tough," she explained. "Well, it's still early. We're expecting in the spring."
When her husband Nick Cannon joined the interview, Carey revealed that two years ago -- amongst all the media scurtiny -- she did become pregnant, but had a miscarriage, and took a little bit to get over.
"Actually, it was difficult. It really was," she said. "[When I had the miscarriage,] it was really sad. We had really to absorb this and take it in."
Cannon chimed in, exclaiming his excitement over the news. "It's absolutely emotional, but for so many reasons," he said. "The greatest gift on earth is a child."
As far as the rumors that she underwent in vitro fertilisation, that's not true. Carey said they conceived naturally ... and she also added that her and Nick aren't going to find out the sex. They want to be surprised.
