Album Charts: Rihanna Earns Fifth Top 10 With 'Loud'

Scottish singer Susan Boyle was able to remain at no. 1 for the second week in a row, despite brand new drops from Kid Rock and Rihanna, but Nelly also made a splash on the charts ... as well as a few others.
Rihanna captured her fifth top 10 set with her latest effort, Loud, which lands at no. 3 with 207,000 copies sold -- her best sales week yet. The singer's five albums have all landed in the top 10 or better: 2005's Music of the Sun opened at no. 10; 2006's A Girl Like Me debuted at no. 5; 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad opened at no. 2; and 2009's Rated R earned at no. 4 debut,
Kid Rock's Born Free bows at no. 5 with 189,000, while Nelly's new 5.0 album debuts at no. 10 with 63,000 sold, recording his sixth top 10 album.
Kid Cudi's Man On The Moon: The Legend of Mr. Rager sells another 36,000 copies in its second week to put his album at no. 20.
Outside to top tier, Norah Jones' new album Featuring starts at no. 27 with 31,000. And, Cassidy's new one, C.A.S.H., starts at no. 111 with just 5,200 units sold.
That wraps things up this week. To cop any of these new releases, head over to Amazon.com.
According to Billboard.com, overall album sales in this past chart week (ending Nov. 21) totaled 8.12 million units, up 29% compared to the sum last week (6.30 million) and up 2% compared to the comparable sales week of 2009 (7.99 million).
