Haitian Man Found in Jamaica Airport with 42 Pounds of Gold Worth 1 Milli

A Haitian man was caught in Jamaica with a sh*tload of gold:
The St. Andrew Central Police caught a Haitian man attempting to smuggle about 42 pounds of gold jewelry through the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday. According to Detective Constable Taniesha Perry, the man was held about 6:30 am morning by alert cops on duty. Perry said police suspect that the jewellery may be the spoils of several robberies which have taken place in that division since last year.
“Since last year there have been several robberies in the St Andrew Central Police division. This is a coordinated approach by all police divisions and we are appealing to persons who may have lost gold to contact us,” Perry said.
The Haitian, who is married to a Jamaican woman, was yesterday being questioned by cops at the Half-Way-Tree Criminal Investigation Bureau. As a photographer and videographer snapped photos of the gold, the Haitian could be seen holding his head in handcuffed hands. Police have not released the man’s name but have charged him with unlawful possession of property.
Earrings, bracelets, anklets, chains, necklaces, bangles, rings and large pendants were among the items of gold which were packaged in five transparent plastic bags.
The gold is said to have an approximate value of $1 million.
